    Richmond Park Activities

Richmond Park Partners is a London based firm that was co-founded in 2008 by Scott Mead, Werner Grub and Andrew Pisker. The firm focuses on two main activities: advisory services and asset management. As part of their advisory services, they work with corporations, private investors, entrepreneurs and management teams, advising on a wide range of issues including mergers and acquisitions, company reorganizations and recapitalizations.  In addition, Richmond Park Partners has an active advisory practice with private equity and hedge funds.

    Previous Professional Activities

Prior to co-founding Richmond Park Partners, Scott Mead worked many years for Goldman Sachs. During his early years with the company he was based in New York, and then in 1988 he relocated to their London office to help develop the company’s European business.

Scott Mead’s activities while working for Goldman Sachs are widely known. As an investment advisor he worked with some of the largest businesses in the US, Europe and Asia, putting together multi-billion dollar deals and advising the firm’s key clients on major investment strategies. As a Goldman partner, he was a recruiter of new talent, and was deeply involved in training and developing many of the company’s key professionals. He held the position of Chairman of Global Telecommunications, Media and Technology Group, and was also the Head of European Privatizations.

Scott Mead became a partner in 1994 and a managing director in 1996, and had a well known career at Goldman Sachs. This included the development and execution of some of the largest deals ever brokered – such as the acquisition of Mannesmann by Vodafone, a $200 billion transaction. In total, Scott Mead put together and managed well over $500 billion in deals for Goldman Sachs.

After leaving Goldman Sachs, Scott Mead went on to become a senior advisor at Apax Partners, a private equity firm with global activities. There he worked on strategy, helping the firm develop its international positioning, and deal origination.

    Philanthropic Work

Scott Mead invests a great deal of his private time and attention to charitable activities. In 1996 he established the Mead Family Foundation, which provides financial support to international institutions, private endeavors and individual projects. The foundation’s areas of focus are education, the arts and healthcare, including medical research.

He also serves as a member of the Board of Visitors at MD Anderson Cancer Center, located in Houston, Texas and has worked to ensure that many of his private hobbies benefit society at large.

One example is that Scott Mead regularly runs marathons throughout the world to benefit charity.  He is also an active fine art photographer, which he began many years ago, and studied with some of America’s greatest modern photographers. In 2010 he exhibited his work in London, with all proceeds going to charity.
